Welcome to Pacific Theological Seminary! Bringing high quality graduate theological education to the San Diego area. Now accepting applications for Spring 2024.

Our mission is to deliver biblically-based education and ministry mentoring through graduate-level degree programs.

We are a multi-denominational community, committed to advancing the work of Christ and His church by preparing servant-leaders who respond contextually to global needs through a lived understanding of God’s Word.

Our Vision for Students

The overall goal of the Pacific Seminary experience is to equip students with a broad base of knowledge, skills and competencies that can be effectively applied to a wide range of ministry-related roles and vocations, both inside and outside the church. Through the instructional program students will have opportunities to deepen their knowledge of God’s Word, grow their personal faith and further develop the Christ-like character attributes of integrity, authenticity and spiritual maturity. Graduates of the Seminary will demonstrate an informed and discerning approach to biblical interpretation, skills for research and communication of theological content, an appreciation for the diversity in God’s creation and intercultural competence toward global issues.

Degree Programs

Pacific Theological Seminary offers a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts (Theological Studies). All courses are taught in-person by our distinguished faculty in an environment that combines rigorous academic inquiry with rich opportunities for spiritual nurturing and mentoring.

“Today’s world needs those who are called by God to love mercy, enact justice, and walk humbly with their Creator.”

Kent Eaton, President
