About

Dr. Gregory Gorham earned his PhD in New Testament and Christian Origins from Claremont School of Theology in 2024. His dissertation, “Jesus, A Hero of Compassion,” focused on the way Jesus was similar to but also challenged Greco-Roman hero narratives that were exemplified in Homer and common in his day. His research interests, beyond hero narratives, include Plato, historical theology, and pop culture. He also works at Grand Canyon University as an assistant coach for the Speech and Debate team and in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. When not serving in any of those capacities, he enjoys record collecting, particularly jazz and hip-hop.
